Our Globe with a marker for showing where we currently are, with the title, Welcome to World Geography.
Are you looking for a new elective to enroll in, but don’t know what to pick? Well, World Geography is your choice! World Geography is an elective about learning about the geography of the world. And, to give you an idea of what geography is, it’s the study of where people, places, and things are located and how they interact with each other. The class usually begins with a CNN Video about all types of world news and topics. The trimester began with us learning about the US States and where they are located. Then we moved on to Central America and the Aztecs. We spent a lot of the trimester learning about the Aztecs, it was pretty interesting. We spent a short time learning about South America and its countries, this included a quick project about animals of the Amazon. Next, we focused on Europe and its many countries. During the European Unit, we learned about the Black Death. I’m not going into details, but it was horrifying. The final unit was East Asia which focused mainly on China. I have always been interested in geography, where things are, and different cultures and peoples. This class went too fast for me, but I definitely enjoyed it and recommend you take it too.
