Comicon In Kansas City

Comicon In Kansas City

In this story I will be telling you about the first time I ever went to Comic Con. Comicon is a convention where people who like comics/fantasy go to meet and have fun. Comicon was held in Downtown Kansas City. The parking was expensive but worth it. Before we found the building, we went out to get lunch at Subway. By then I was really excited to get to go there.

When we got there we had to go through a line to get tickets; it didn’t take as long as I thought it would. Once we got in, we looked around. There was a lot of booths with lots of cool medieval fantasy stuff, like clothes in the booths. We got kind of lost but when we mapped out the place we could finally look around comfortably. We even found someone we knew! One booth was pretty interesting, it was kind of renaissance-esque. One thing that caught my attention in that stand was a wolf tail. We got it and I really wanted to see what my cats would do.

Me and my mom were going around and we saw some old comic book creators. We couldn’t see them because they cost way to much and they would probably be too old to talk to anyway.  We did some more looking around and I got to hold the Captain America shield. But to keep it I would have to win a drawing.

We were wandering around for a while when suddenly, my mom saw a car from one of her childhood shows. It was the “General Lee” from The Dukes of Hazzard. When we were going around again, we started to get hungry. We went to stop at the Dippin Dots car. On our way there we found a friend and talked for a while. He dressed up as a ghostbuster. We didn’t dress up though. After eating some ice cream, we wanted to go home. On our way back I did some parkour on some benches and stuff. Then we got in our car and went home.
