“Although the first trumpets were straight, in the 15th century, they became looped. The trombone was also invented in the 15th century.” I am going to talk about the most annoying band instruments. It is not going to include string instruments, it will be including brass, percussion, and woodwind.  So number five is the piccolo.

5. So the least annoying instrument on this list is the piccolo. The reason it is on this list is that it is loud and they are hardly used.  Did you know?  “In Italian, ‘piccolo’ is used as an adjective to describe various instruments that are the smallest and highest in the pitch of their type. These include the violin piccolo, piccolo clarinet, and piccolo timpani.” Let’s go to number four.

4. Number four is the trombone. The trombone is here because the only thing that sucks about it is it’s loud and there tend to be quite a few so you can’t really hear any instruments. Then they are also too simple because they have slides. Fun fact for trombone. “That noise you hear when Charlie Brown’s teacher speaks to the class or to Charlie Brown: that’s a trombone!”

3. Number three is the oboe. The oboe makes it onto this list Because it is loud and you can’t hear some of the other instruments. It is also just basically a knockoff of a clarinet.  Isn’t it cool that“The Range of an Oboe Spans 2.5 Octaves”  

2. Number 2 is the percussion. Percussion makes it here because it can be pretty simple sometimes it is one of the loudest instruments in a band.  the cool fact about percussion. “The very first (drum) to be discovered and known to men is called the Alligator Drum. This instrument is made from clay and alligator hides bounded together by a kind of durable string.”

Now we move to the honorable mentions, there will be 3 honorable mentions which are all somewhat loud or just annoying. The first one is the saxophone because it’s loud and can squeak. The number is the clarinet because it’s quiet until it squeaks. Now the last one is the tuba because it is loud and you can’t hear anything when the tuba is playing some songs. 

1. The trumpets are loud and overpowering and there’s always a ton. When they play you play in a band that is loud and you can’t hear any instruments near them. There are also like 5 in every band. It is the biggest group. Did you know the oldest trumpet that you can play is over 3,000 years old?

Now that you know the most annoying instruments. If you are in a band or want to join, be prepared because you now experienced these instruments. If you join a band you probably shouldn’t choose one of these instruments.  Now that I have told you you can stay away from these instruments when you are in a band.
