Did you know that when they’re happy, bunnies perform an athletic leap called a “binky”? Bunnies are one of the best pets and my parents should let me get a bunny as my own pet because they are helpful in helping people relax and can reduce stress and anxiety. Also, bunnies help in teaching more responsibility. Finally, they are generally low maintenance for a busy or not busy family.

The first reason is that Bunnies help people relax and reduce stress and anxiety levels. According to ncbi.nlm.nih.gov, “Among the analyzed factors, the presence of the rabbits in the class had the smallest effect on anxiety, but the presence of the rabbits significantly decreased the anxiety score by around 8%, on average.” This means that having a pet bunny will reduce stress and anxiety levels, and while helping your bunny too. And even though the reduction of anxiety is low it is still getting rid of some anxiety.
Also, “according to Bestfriendsvets.com”, “Stroking and grooming your rabbit will keep them content and their coat healthy, and can reduce your anxiety and stress levels. Plus, if you don’t have many people to talk to, rabbits can be good listeners with those long ears!” This means that Having a pet bunny will reduce stress and anxiety levels, and while helping your bunny too.

The next reason is that they help teach responsibility and empathy. According to “Todayspet.com, “When children are responsible for caring for pet rabbits it teaches them to look outside of themselves and to show empathy for other people as well as other animals. As a result, owning an easy to care for pet like a rabbit can provide families with a real sense of purpose.” This means that having a bunny will teach responsibility and empathy. And teach kids to care about other people.

Finally, I should get a bunny because they are generally low maintenance for a busy or not busy family. According to affordablepetcenterinc.com,
“Rabbits are inexpensive and do not require a lot of maintenance. For a busy family that may not have time to walk a dog daily, a rabbit is exactly what you are looking for. Rabbits are as playful and silly as any puppy, as independent and curious as cats, and as loyal and affectionate as dogs” This means that they are not terribly expensive and if you are a busy person they don’t take as much work as a dog.

Obviously, “from only these 3 reasons I should totally get a bunny.” Because They reduce stress and anxiety, they also teach responsibility, and they are low maintenance. You can choose from local places to adopt a bunny like Bunny TNT in Wichita, KC Pet Project in Kansas City, and KS humane in Wichita.
