Obesity and how it affects us today

Why is obesity so common now? How can you prevent it? What are some health issues involved with obesity?  Obesity is a condition where the person is dangerously overweight, and yes, it is okay to have fat. According to the text, “fat is a term for, loose connective tissue composed of adipocytes. Its main role is to store energy in the form of fat, although it also cushions and insulates the body” (Mayo Clinic).

Ways to ditch that extra fat!

You can prevent obesity by proper, exercise diet and overall just being healthy! Also, some simple ways to get healthier is to get active. Getting active helps build muscle, and you might gain more weight before you lose it because muscle weighs more than fat, so when you start building muscle that fat will burn and go away! Another way to lose weight is by drinking more water. That doesn’t mean it’s some miracle cure for obesity, it means 55% of us is water. Drinking water is super good for you. Diet is another great thing to improve on if you want to lose weight. Dieting and watching your sugar count can help not only lose weight but prevent diabetes. Medication is not needed. Some weight loss pills don’t work and can be expensive. But there are weight loss programs that help you, once again watch what’s in your diet. Some even send you meal kits, to replace snacks and unhealthy sweets. But just a friendly reminder, that if you think you are obese talk to your doctor and ask about how you can get healthier because treating sickness is a doctor’s first priority. Also, weight loss programs don’t really help unless you workout and drink plenty of water.

Why it should be a concern

Overall obesity is a serious condition where there is extra fat tissue around the organs, that you can get rid of with the proper health care, diet and exercise. Obesity is known to higher blood pressure. It can also cause a lot of heart, and lung issues such as asthma, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and sleep apnea. All of which could kill you.

In conclusion, fat is a type of tissue that insulates the body as well as cushioning it. A couple of ways to lose weight is by proper diet and exercise, drinking water and meal kits. If you don’t take proper action for this condition, then you may suffer the consequences, such as raised blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, sleep apnea, and asthma; these symptoms may kill you. So as long as you stay healthy and pay attention to calories, you can be as healthy as a horse!
