Have you ever wondered what pencils to get for school? Do you prefer a mechanical pencil? I am going to tell you which pencil I prefer.

Handwriting

I think that a mechanical pencil would write better. When writing with a normal pencil, the Led breaks and it leaves a big smudge on your page. When a mechanical pencil breaks it doesn’t leave very much of a mess. I also think that a mechanical pencil is much easier to use than a regular pencil. With a Regular pencil you can get a hand cramp much easier because of the way it is shaped, in my opinion. I think that a mechanical pencil would be much better for handwriting.

Reliability

With a normal pencil you have to sharpen it. With a mechanical pencil you can simply push the button to get more Led to write with. So if you have to get a pencil in the middle of the class period you can grab one right out of the packaging and use it right away. On the other hand, A regular pencil, you would have to get up and sharpen it which can cause you to lose class time. When you have an eraser on a normal pencil you have to be careful to not break the eraser off the pencil. With a Mechanical pencil the eraser will stay on the pencil a lot better, but if you lose the eraser then your led will fall out of the pencil. If you are taking a test then you should use a regular pencil just in case you run out of lead. In my opinion the Regular pencil is much better for reliability.
Price

When it comes to price at Walmart.com Pen + Gear No. 2 wooden pencil you can get 24 for $0.97. That is pretty cheap for 24 pencils, but on the other hand they come unsharpened so you would have to buy a pencil sharpener just to use something that you Bought. For A BIC Xtra Strong No. 2 Mechanical Pencil you can get a count of 24 for $4. That is still a pretty good price and you don’t need a sharpener for it, you can use them right out of the packaging. So that would save you money on having to buy a pencil sharpener. Overall I think that the Mechanical pencils would be cheaper without having to buy a sharpener.

In my opinion, Overall The mechanical Pencils would be the better choice depending on what activities you are doing and how frequently you use a pencil. Thank you for reading my story.
