Do you know what the slowest animal is? What about the slowest tree animals? Today I’m writing about the slowest tree animals. Compared to the fastest tree animal you will be surprised.

 

5.Tree Frog

 

A tree frog is able to get up to 10 mph. During a tree frog’s free time they mainly just sit on leaves and branches. Tree frogs mainly live in forests that stay warmer throughout the year. One fun fact about tree frogs is they aren’t always green. Tree frogs can be different colors based on their activity.

 

4.Tree Porcupines

 

A Tree Porcupine is able to get up to 6 mph. During a tree porcupine’s free time they maily sleep because they are nocturnal. When up during the day they find food and shelter for the night. A tree porcupine can be found in North America and Canada. One fun fact is they can have up to 30,000 quills.

 

3.Tree pangolin

 

A tree pangolin can get up to 3 mph. During the day sum Tree pangolin will sleep most of its day and others will hunt for insects. A tree pangolin can be found in Central Africa. One fun fact about a tree pangolin is they are the only mammal to be fully covered in keratin scales.

 

2.Orangutan

 

An orangutan can only reach up to 2.7 mph. Orangutans spend almost all of their time searching for food. Orangutans are only able to be found in the rain forests of the Southeast Asian forests  of Borneo and Sumatra. One fun fact about orangutans is that their arms are huge. An orangutan’s arm can get up to 7 feet long from finger tip to finger tip.

 

1.Soths

 

A sloth can only go 0.17 mph. They mainly spend their day sleeping and the of the rest of the day is spent eating and using the restroom. They can be found in South America. Those were the slowest tree creatures. The funniest thing I learned when writing this is that the fastest animal on this list was also the smallest.
