This is the holidays i am talking about

Did you know that one of the most celebrated holiday in the U.S. is Thanksgiving? People have been celebrating holidays, like New Years, for over 4,00 years. Today I will be telling you about the top 5 holidays and what they are! So, keep reading to learn more about them.

Halloween: Halloween is a holiday that we celebrate by wearing silly or scary costumes. The day it happens is October 31st if you want to dress up! A fun fact about Halloween is” The holiday dates back more than 2,000 years”, which is crazy for how long ago it was. I think this holiday is ok but it can be boring and tiring. If I would be told to rate this, it would be a 3-5 star holiday because it gets even more boring the older you get.

Easter: Easter is the time when kids go and eat lots of candy after collecting eggs filled with candy! This candy-filled holiday is on Sunday, April 9th. Now a fun fact is “Easter is the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ in the Christian religion.” which is weird as I never knew that until now, which is mind-blowing. This is a nice holiday for kids, not for the parent who has to set it up which I don’t like. If I were to rate it, it would be 2 ½ eggs -50 bunnies because of how the holiday is in general.

Independence Day: This is a holiday in which we all celebrate independence with flashy loud fireworks. This one’s day is July 4th. And a fun fact ”We Didn’t Actually Declare Independence on the 4th of July.” which is weird as we still celebrate independence on that day. I think that it could also be celebrated with a nice barbeque with you and your family! This would be rated a cool 3.5 / 5 stars!

Thanksgiving: A day where we get as stuffed as a thanksgiving turkey. The day it is on is the last Thursday in November. And a fun fact is “one of the most celebrated holidays is thanksgiving” and is it just me, or does that seem familiar? I think this is one of the happiest holidays as you sit with your family and eat, eat and of course… talk (you thought I was going to say eat huh). My rating would be a calm 4.2 apple pies /- ∞ Horses.

Christmas: A holiday we all love and know for its giving and taking of joy and presents. Monday, December 26 or 25 in the United States. And a great fun fact is “Jingle Bells’ was the first song played in space.” and that’s insane as anything first is always cool! I love this holiday for the joy and presents and I think besides some things it is one of the best! The rating for me on this would be 15 cows out of 10 wrapping papers

And those are 5 holidays and facts about them. I would say that Christmas is my favorite… What’s yours? Also, here are some honorable mentions: Hanukkah, Martin Luther King day, and New Year. The best thing about holidays is that you can enjoy time with your family and enjoy your time on earth. They are a way to shake up your normal pattern of life. They add excitement and make things interesting. Happy Holidays!
