Brazil is home to 5,570 beautiful cities. In these cities you’ll see nature, happy citizens, and lots of partying. Three of these places that you can visit are Rio de Janeiro, Campos do Jordão, and Paraty. There’s so much to do and see in each of these places, and there’s also lots of good food to eat while exploring.

Rio de Janeiro was founded by the Portuguese on March 1st, 1565. It’s grown into a beautiful city with a population of 6.748 million people. Rio de Janeiro is home to one of the seven wonders of the world, Christ the Redeemer, which you can visit. One restaurant to visit here is Lilia Restaurante. One item on their menu is Feijoada which is a Brazilian black bean stew made with different parts of the pig.

Campos do Jordão was originally created in 1941 with the name of Horto Florestal. The population here is 52,405. A main attraction here is the Amantikir Park which contains lots of gardens to see and visit. Pastelao do Maluf is a restaurant with an interesting but tasty-looking food called pastel. Pastel Is a deep-fried dough that you can fill with anything you want from sweet to salty foods.

Paraty was founded in 1597 by Portuguese colonists. Paraty is along the shore and has lots of fun places to visit. One place you can see is Cachoeira da Pedra Branca. Cachoeira da Pedra Branca is a natural slide made of rock smoothed down with a stream going down and people can slide down for fun. A food that sounds really interesting that you can eat after having fun on the slide is feijoada and you can eat this at Quintal de Mãe.

From seeing all the fun places to visit, and all the good food to eat, Brazil definitely looks like an amazing place to visit someday in the future. I’ve never really taken an interest in Brazil until recently and I’m glad I know a little bit more about the country. See you soon, or as the people in Brazil would say “Até breve!” in my next story about England.
