Have you ever traveled and wanted a snack but didn’t know what to bring? No? Well, bringing snacks on road trips is a good idea, especially because if you don’t eat and you are going on a long drive you might get hungry and want a snack. Today I am going to tell you about four of the best snacks to bring when you are traveling.
In 4th place Pretzels. One best bit about pretzels is if you are craving a good salty snack, pretzels are perfect. One worst bit is they are sometimes messy though,so you have to be a little bit careful when eating them in the car.I would also recommend the stick pretzels because you can fit more of them in a baggy than normal pretzels.
In 3rd place protein bars. Protein bars are really good for grab-and-go snacks and they are really portable snacks. There is still the fact that they are sometimes expensive and sometimes not the best for you if you don’t get the right type of Protein bar. Some good advice if you are bringing protein bars on a road trip, make sure to get protein bars that are shelf-stable so that they don’t melt in your car.
In 2nd place beef jerky. One best bit about beef jerky is they are very good for on-the-go energy. One worst bit about beef jerky is most of the time they are expensive. According to crockettcreek.com, “NASA began sending astronauts into space with beef jerky in 1996.” This means that beef jerky was so healthy, popular, and so delicious that they even had to bring it to space!
Finally in first place trail mix. Trail mix is a classic road trip snack and there is also a lot of different types of trail mixes so whether you can pick out one at a store or you can make a trail mix using things like nuts, dried fruits, seeds, chocolate chips, pretzels, etc. One bad thing about trail mix though, is that if it spills in your car, it won’t always be an easy clean up. According to powers-inc.com, “Trail mix has been eaten by Native Americans for thousands of years.” This means that even thousands of years ago people would most likely eating trail mixes on long journeys just like we do now.
There are tons of different types of snacks, and lots of different snacks have really intriguing backgrounds. Overall, pretzels, protein bars, beef jerky, and trail mix are really good snacks to bring on road trips, and I 100% recommend them.
