Interviewing Salva From Long Walk To Water!!

Have you ever wondered what Salva from long walk to water would say in an interview? Well, today I’m going to be interviewing Salva.

Question 1: How did it feel losing a friend?? 

Answer: I felt devastated and terrified because I would not have anyone to talk to at that time and support.

Question 2: How did it feel when you were left behind by the group, and how did you overcome it?

Answer: I felt a wave of panic and desperation. I overcame it by thinking of my family and collected survival stuff!!

Question 3: how does it feel to know that you are now helping people (like nya) improve their lives with water?? 

Answer: if feels like a circle being completed because most of my life i was begging for water and now im the one providing water for people!!!!!

Question 4: What was the first thing that came to your mind when gunshots interrupted school? 

Answer: I was panicking, and confused. But the thoughts of my family got me out of there.

Question 5: What was it like to face such intense fear and hunger at a young age? 

Answer: It was like living in a dream that you can’t wake up from!!!

Question 6: how did it feel living in the refugees for 6 years?

Answer: I felt safe and I also felt comfortable and hope that I will make it out of this war!

Question 7: what was going through your mind when you had to leave your school and family instantly??

Answer: I was asking myself, “where are we going.” “Where is my family?” “Will I see them again?”

Question 8: What was the most dangerous moment you experienced while walking through nature??

Answer: I think it was when I passed through the Gilo River because of the crocodiles, soldiers, and the current.

Question 9: What was your reaction when you finally learned your father was alive??

Answer:  I was shocked and happy because I thought my father was dead but he was alive!!!

Question 10: What did you learn from uncle Jewiir and Mariel??

Answer: I learned to be brave and positive even though times are hard!!!
