Here’s a picture of Delson when he was only a day old!

The night they told me they were pregnant, they took me out to Montana Mike’s for supper. I can still remember what I got. I wasn’t very hungry so I ordered off of the kid’s menu. I got mac’ n cheese with applesauce. My dad asked me what I would do if I had a sibling. At first I was very confused, but he explained. He wanted to know if I would be nice to it or if I would be the alpha and control it. I said it depends on my mood. He laughed, and then we mainly ate in silence with occasional laughs. When we got home I went straight to my room and freaked out! I was pacing and asking myself, “Have my prayers been answered?”, “Has my wish been granted?”, “Is this really happening?”. They were talking when I came out to sit down in the living room. My step-mom told my dad to show me the pictures. He got up, grabbed an envelope, pulled a couple slips of paper out, and showed me! It was her sonogram. I had just seen my baby brother!

I was getting ready to go to my dad’s house when he jumped out of his car and ran up to the front porch and said, “ I’m so excited! It’s a boy!” I kind of had the feeling it was a boy even though I wanted it to be a girl (but I’m not complaining). Now that we knew the gender, it was time to decorate! It took us over a months time to clean out the storage room to prepare for the baby. But when we finally got it all cleaned out, we ended up painting it blue with a bunch of airplanes and cute baby stuff, like a crib and a dresser, we even have a little paper airplane with a few clouds behind it saying, “BABY DELSON”.

Finally, little baby Delson  Rowe Wade was born. He was born 10-03-18, and weighed  7 lbs and 2.3 oz., and was 21 in. tall! So far he is just a little bundle of joy, he makes me so happy and I love him so much! He is now 2 weeks and 2 days old, and he’s such a good baby. The first time I held him he didn’t even cry! And I was fortunate enough that, the same weekend I got to stay with my dad, so I was able to hold him every night (without him even crying), and I got to watch him be happy and smile!

So to sum it all up, I was blessed with a little baby brother; Delson Rowe Wade was born October 3rd, 2018 and was 7 lbs 2.3oz. He is the absolute love of my life, and I am so proud to be his big sister!
