Did you know that there have been 50 NBA All-star Games played in the NBA? Every year all of the best players play against each other. Players from the West and East go head to head to see who can win.On March 7th, the NBA all star weekend started with the 3pt point contest, the dunk contest,  the all star game, and the skills challenge.

First, We will talk about the 3 point contest first. The 3 point participants were Donovan Mitchell, Stephen Curry , Mike Conley, Jayson Tatum, Zach LaVine , and Jaylen Brown. In the first round Donovan Mitchell, Zach Lavine, and Jaylen Brown got eliminated. In the second round Jayson tatum got a really low score but Mike Conley got a 28 and Steph Curry had to beat 28 to win the title. It came down to the last shot and Curry buried it and was now the 3 point champion.

We will now talk about the dunk contest. The participants were Anfernee Simons, Obi Toppin and Cassius Stanley.  Cassius Stanley was the first to be eliminated in the dunk contest. Now it was down to Anfernee Simons and Obi Toppin. It was down to the final dunk and Anfree Simons had to make this dunk a good one. He did it and won him the NBA dunk contest The dunk was a high jumping dunk where the players head was over the rim.

We will now talk about the All star game. The 2 team captains were LeBron James and Kevin Durant. They Both drafted their team Saturday. And they started Sunday night. The team that scores the most points each quarter will have money donated to the charity of their choice. Team LeBron won all 4 quarters and won the All star game 170- to 150.
