Do you wanna know more about someone and about teaching? Well, today I’m going to be telling you about Mr.Colin and teaching. Before that though, Mr.Colin is on the green team. He’s an ELA teacher and his girlfriend, I believe, is a P.E teacher.

Q:Why did you become a teacher?

A:”I always enjoyed helping others with their reading and writing. I found a passion in it so I wanted to do it for a career.”

Q:How long have you been a teacher for?

A:”This is my first year.”

Q:What is one thing you would tell someone who wants to become a teacher?

A:”Becoming a teacher is a long journey with many ups and many downs. It is absolutely worth it, even if some days feel like the worst thing ever. There are also days that are the best days ever.”

Q:What’s your opinion about homework?

A:”I think homework is dependent on the situation. There are some situations in which it is necessary, but I believe over-assigning homework leads to a lack of motivation and results. There is not that much time in class, so sometimes things need to be finished at home or later on. School is a job, but kids should also have a life outside of that job.”

Q:What is your favorite thing about teaching?

A: “My favorite thing is getting to meet so many people and building relationships with them. My students are the best thing I could ask for and getting to see so many of them grow and learn as time goes on makes me feel like I have done something worthwhile.”
