Do you remember children’s books that you used to read as a kid? Well, I have four children’s books that might give you flashbacks to when you used to read these! You may not have read these books, but these four books definitely give me nostalgia! Hope you find some old books you used to love on this list!
The first book that might give you nostalgia is Green Eggs and Ham! This book is about a picky eater. The main character’s friend made green eggs and ham for him and wants him to try it. Throughout the whole book, he refuses to try it, thinking it would taste bad. The four main characters’ names are Sam-I-Am, Guy-I-Am, Michellee Weebie-Am-I, and E.B. Weebie-Am-I. My favorite character would probably be Guy-I-Am! This is one of my favorite books because it’s funny how Sam-I-Am chases him around the whole book trying to convince him to eat it, and I like how Guy-I-Am eventually tries it and likes it!
The second book that might give you nostalgia is Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? This book is about showing kids colors and other animals around the bear! The main characters are a bunch of different animals that the bear sees in the book. I don’t have a favorite character in this book, but it is still a great book. I love this book because it takes me back to when I used to read it as a kid. It is also interesting to see how many animals are all around the world!
The next book that might give you nostalgia is Are You My Mother? This book is about how a baby bird hatches while his mother is out getting food, and spends the whole time asking other animals if they are his mother. There are multiple characters in this book, such as the mother bird, the baby bird, the dog, the mean old snort, etc. I love this book because I love how he searches everywhere to find his mother, and it really is just a wholesome and heartwarming scene when he finally finds his mother and is happy.
The last book that might give you nostalgia is The Giving Tree. This is a great book. This book is about how a little boy grows up with this tree and is always asking for more from the tree. The tree always gives the boy more to make sure the boy becomes successful, until he takes too much and the tree can’t give any more. The two main characters in this book are the boy and the tree. I really love this book because it shows how this tree cares so much about this boy, while the boy never stops asking for things. It shows how the boy really regrets his choices when the tree can’t give anything anymore because it has nothing to give. It’s sweet and sad, and a great book that might remind you of being a kid and reading it.
Anyway, there are four kids’ books that may give you nostalgia! Maybe it will make you want to read it again to remind you of when you were younger. There are many other children’s books that you may have used to read that I didn’t list, but I hope I gave you some ideas!
