Do you have a teacher that can do magic, is insanely old, and lives in a castle? Sadly, me neither, but you probably have had a teacher that is kind, strong, and helpful. Well, the teachers at Hogwarts are all those and more. In this story, you will get to know about Hagrid, McGonagall, Mad Eye Moody, Lupin, and Snape, but there are spoilers.

First off, Hagrid. Rubeus Hagrid is an English half-giant wizard. Weird mix, but he still turns out to be the best. Hagrid is a former Hogwarts student, but during his third year, Hagrid got framed by Tom Riddle (Aka Voldemort). Hagrid’s wand was snapped and he was expelled. But once Dumbledore heard about this he took pity on Hagrid and allowed him to stay on campus if he learned how to be a gamekeeper. Hagrid is the best teacher because he is kind, understanding, and overall a very lovable character. 

Second is McGonagall. Minerva McGonagall is a Scottish half-blood wizard. McGonagall is a former Hogwarts student. She was sorted into Gryffindor but it took the sorting hat 5 minutes to decide whether Minerva was a Ravenclaw or Gryffindor. McGonagall worked at the Ministry of Magic after her education, but finally she came back to Hogwarts and worked as a transfiguration teacher and Head of the Gryffindor House. She also served as Deputy Headmistress. McGonagall is a stricter teacher than most, but she also respects being brave.

Third is Mad Eye Moody. Mad eye Moody is a pure-blood wizard. Now, pay attention because this is kinda difficult so listen up. Barty Crouch Jr. took a Polyjuice potion (a potion that disguised a person as a different person as long as you have one of their hairs.) So, technically Mad Eye Moody was never a teacher, but Barty Crouch Jr. was. While Barty was acting like a teacher he transformed Draco Malfoy into a Ferret and lifted him in the air. Though this was not acceptable, it still happened and makes Mad Eye very memorable. 

Next up is Lupin. Remus Lupin is a half-blood wizard. When Lupin was a child he got attacked by a werewolf, which had the effect of making Lupin a werewolf every full moon. Lupin went to Hogwarts with James Potter (Harry Potter’s Father). Lupin later became a Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. Lupin quit after Snape told everyone that Lupin becomes a werewolf every full moon, which isn’t a great idea at a school full of children. Lupin is one of my favourite teachers because he is such a father figure to Harry. Lupin is normally helpful. 

Last on this list is Snape. Severus Snape is an English half-blood wizard. Snape went to Hogwarts the same time as James Potter, Lupin, Sirius black, and Peter Pettigrew. Snape was bullied by James throughout school. Snape fell in love with Lily as a child. Snape hates James Potter so much because he married Lilly. Snape seems like a bad person throughout the movies and books, but the fact is, most people don’t know the reason he is so mean to Harry Potter. Snape is actually a good person who’s hurting, but still does his job.
