Every year in August there is an event that makes the whole community excited.
The fair that is located in Emporia, Kansas is one of the most exciting events that has people entertained the whole time that they are there.
I interviewed Jaden Daniel who has attended this event every year. When asked if he thinks the fair is fun his response was, “Yes I think the event is fun because I get to do stuff with my friends like bringing a football to play with at the fair.” I also asked what his favorite food is to get at the fair and his response was, “I really like getting funnel cakes, ice cream, and lemonade.”
I had also asked him what’s the longest he has stayed at the fair. He said, “The longest I’ve stayed at the fair was for 3 hours and it was so much fun.” Jaden Daniel recommends other people to go to the fair because he had a really fun experience!
There are many food stands there with lots of different foods for you to try out and see if it will become your new favorite food to get when this time of year comes around! Most people have suggested trying funnel cakes and lemonade. Lemonade is a really good drink to drink in the summer since it’s really hot and lemonade is a sweet drink that refreshes the body. If you really want to eat some real food instead of snacking, then try the hot dogs there! They are steamy, hot and delicious.
The rides are the main reason why people go to this event. The most popular ride at the fair is. The Guitar and it goes up and down and to the sides. This ride looks like a guitar and is orange with flames. This ride will definitely keep you very entertained. The next ride that is the most popular is The Ring Of Fire. If you like crazy rides, then this is the one for you. This ride is a circle-like roller coaster that is super fun and one of the best rides there!
Personally, I love this event. I go each year, especially for funnel cakes. Once I got to take a picture because of how early I was!
