The strongest Dogs?!? Wouldn’t that mean they are dangerous?! No, not as much as you might think. Sometimes the strongest dog is the best dog to get.Today I am going to tell you about the top five strongest dog breeds!
First, in 5th place, we have the pitbull. They are really nice dogs but some pit bulls might be a little timid and mean, but most of the time it realizes how they are raised. According to pitbullhero.org, “pitbulls” are the most popular dog type in at least 21 states — and the most popular overall in the U.S.” . The reason I put this dog on the list is because pitbulls are considered very strong dogs because they have been selectively bred for strength, agility, and tenacity. One thing I like about pitbulls is they are really good protectors.
Next in 4th place we have the Rottweiler. They are confident, calm, and alert dogs and are stronger than pitbulls. According to canna-pet.com, “The Rottweiler is one of the most popular dogs in the USA, UK, and Canada.”.The reason I chose Rottweilers is because they are really strong dogs that were also used to carry heavy things around. One thing I like about Rottweilers is that they are incredibly loyal dogs.
Next in 3rd place we have the English Mastiff. They are good-natured, calm, and protective dogs. According to greenfieldpuppies.com, “In 1918, an English Mastiff named Beowulf was registered with the American Kennel Club after being bred in Canada. This jump-started the breed’s presence in American life. Now, the English Mastiff is the American Kennel Club’s 29th most popular breed.”.The reason I chose the English Mastiff is because I believe that they are a very strong dog breed mostly because of their massive size, powerful muscle mass, and historically bred roles as war dogs. One thing I like about the English Mastiff is that they are gentle and loyal giants.
Now we have the Saint Bernards in 2nd place. They are loving, patient, and affectionate companions with calm, and a friendly dogs. According toaboutswitzerland.eda.admin.ch, “this breed of dog become one of Switzerland’s most iconic ambassadors.”. The reason I chose the Saint Bernards is because they are giant and strong dogs. One thing I like about the Saint Bernards is there very friendly and kind dogs.
Last but not least, in first place we have the Kangal Shepherd Dog. They are naturally reserved, gentle, and incredibly loyal dogs. According to vetamerikan.org, ” Kangal, which is regarded as a national wealth in Türkiye, has increased its popularity as a companion dog in many countries, especially the United States and the United Kingdom in recent years.”. The reason I chose Kangal Shepherd Dogs is because they are very strong dogs because of their massive size, incredible muscular build, and exceptionally powerful bite force (around 743 PSI). One thing I like about the Kangal shepherd dogs is their independence.
Strong dogs are really good to have around, like when you are in danger or just to keep you safe. The runners-up were the German Shepherd and Siberian Husky. The German Shepherd in 6th and the Siberian Husky in 7th place. They are both really strong dogs and really good dogs too. All of the dogs are very strong, but not as strong as the Kangal shepherd dog!
