What are a few of the most popular cities in the U.S?Well a few of the most popular cities in the United States are New York City,Los Angeles, and Chicago. New york city/The big apple/NYC is known for a global hub for finance, culture, fashion, and media. Los Angeles/ LA is home to one of the world’s most iconic entertainment districts, Hollywood.
New York City,”the big apple” had one of the most well known events in history in the United States occur: 9/11. 9/11 was in 2001. It was when the Twin Towers went down and the whole city of New York was consumed with dust. When people tried to leave the only option was by boat or by swimming. You can do things like visit the Twin Tower memorial and can also do things like take a walk in Central Park, view the city from top-tier observation decks such as the Empire State Building or Summit One Vanderbilt, or just go shopping. According to https://thewanderbug.com/, some of the famous places there include, ”Central Park, Grand Central Station,The Chrysler Building, The Empire State Building, Cobblestone Streets in SoHo, The Brooklyn Bridge, Brownstones, The Statue of Liberty, The Flatiron Building, Washington Square Park, and Times Square.” .
Los Angeles/LA has Hollywood’s movie industry charm. According to sightseeing.com, “fun facts about Los Angeles is that it was previously called “El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles del Río de Porciúncula”. This never-ending name translates as “The Town of Our Lady the Queen of the Angels on the River Porciúncula.” And, yes, it’s quite a mouthful! You can understand why they eventually settled on Los Angeles!“. There are lots of things to do in LA. Hike to the Hollywood sign. If you like hiking, like me, hiking to the Hollywood sign is one of the funnest things you can do. You can go to Disneyland. I haven’t gone to Disneyland yet, but I really want to go because you can ride roller coasters, eat fun Disney-themed food, and see nightly fireworks and parades.I have heard it is really magical. Some famous places in Los Angeles are things like The Santa Monica Pier/ endpoint of Route 66. The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a monument with terrazzo and brass stars to remember all of the past stars in movies.
Chicago, famously known as The Windy City, is known for some of its famous places. According to chicago.gov,”Start of the “Historical Route 66.” I’ve been to Chicago. It’s a fun place with lots of things to do. One of the things you can do is visit Cloud Gate/”The Bean”. It is a really cool and popular attraction that I went to when I went to Chicago and recommend if you go to Chicago. Also, something fun you can do is taking a boat tour. I didn’t get to go on a boat tour, but I really wanted to once I saw the boats going under the bridge and seeing everyone smiling and looking like they were having a great time. Famous places in Chicago include things like Millennium Park home to “The Bean”, the towering Skydeck at Willis Tower, and the scenic Navy Pier.
New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago have some crazy famous history, fun things you can do if you visit, and some very fun, famous places that you can visit. New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago are some of the most popular cites in the U.S and i hope you visit them soon.
