Do you remember making friends in elementary school?? Well, I do and I’m going to tell you some good ways to make friends in Middle School. We will be talking about clubs, sports, and just trying to start a conversation with someone.
One way that you can make friends is by being in after school clubs. It’s easier to make friends in clubs because you have people that have the same interests as you. Like if the club is soccer, you can find other people that like soccer as well. Another club for example: Culinary (or a type of cooked based thingy) while the club leader is showing the directions you can get paired up with some random people that have the same interest as you then you can have a chance to make those friends.
The second way you can make friends is by playing some type of sport that you like. An example for the sports that you could join is tennis. While joining tennis, you can see how your teammates act and how you act. Another example could be swimming. Swimming can be a pretty good sport to help your teammates on different types of attributes. If you are pretty good at swimming, then you can teach the basics to your teammates and maybe some cool tricks that the coaches don’t know or just don’t show.
Last but not least, another way you can make friends is by starting a conversation with someone at a public place or school. Being able to talk to anyone is a great start because most people can’t do it, and that’s maybe because they are shy. You can be a complimenter for example, and that can already do like 40% of the work. Another percentage of the work can be on good body language. You can add another 20% of the work just by having great hand movements and maybe some funny movements but it just depends. The last 40% is really just being nice and being a curious explorer and asking questions like what do they do in their free time and like what they do.
Today we talked about how to make friends. Remember, try to find people with the same interests as you. Always smile, be nice, and go talk to people one on one.
