Did you know about the top 4 most checked-out books at EMS?! Well, I’m going to tell you what they are so you can figure out on your own why they are so popular. The 4 books I will be talking about are Refugee, The Boy In Striped Pajamas, Ground Zero, and The Lightning Thief!! I hope you enjoy one of these books I’m listing! 

The first book is Refugee! This book is truly amazing! This book is about how three different kids in different decades struggle to survive and have to learn how to keep them and their families safe. This story talks about bombing and betrayals. This book can definitely catch you off guard!

The second book I’m going to talk about is called The Boy in Striped Pajamas. This book is about a kid named Bruno whose father is the commander of a concentration camp. At the same time, Bruno is also friends with a Jewish detainee named Shmuel. This is a great book, and it definitely is interesting! The library has 3 out of 8 available. That means you can get this book now!

The next book I will be talking about is Ground Zero. This book is about a boy who is trapped in the 9/11 attacks and a girl who is seen with a hurt American Soldier years later. It really shows what 9/11 was about and what happened in people’s lives then. It shows the loss and fear too. It’s a good book, and you should totally read it. There are 1 out of 5 of them at the library, so get yours now!!

The last book I will be talking about, which is one of my favorites, is The Lightning Thief. This is a part of the Percy Jackson series,  so it’s really good. It’s about a guy who gets suspended from multiple schools because he can’t control his temper. Then he figures out that his father is the Greek god Poseidon. He joins a camp and meets half-bloods there who have Greek god parents, too. The story is really about how Percy has to retrieve Zeus’s lightning bolt and stop a war from beginning. It’s soooo good. You should really read the series! There are 3 out of 9 available, and you should definitely get it!
