Are you an 8th grader and need advice? Or are you going to be an 8th grader next year? If so, I asked Ms. Hinds if she had any advice for 8th graders and this is what she said.
Q:”Hi this is Callia Foraker, and I was wondering if you had any advice for 8th graders?”
A:My advice for 8th graders:
“is to pay attention when your teacher is teaching. A big part of school is just following directions and doing what you are asked to do.
I would also say that asking for help is a good quality for students to have. I’d rather answer a million questions than have you do the assignment wrong or sit there frustrated.
Lastly, I would say to pause before you make decisions. Pause and consider what might happen if you choose this decision. Most students are good people; they just need to stop and think before they make poor choices. Part of growing up is making mistakes and learning from them. So, when you make a mistake, find the lesson to be learned!”
Make sure to say hi to Ms.Hinds in the hallways . Make sure to check out Advice for new students from office staff next week.
