“A good teacher is like a candle—it consumes itself to light the way for others.” — Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. Have you ever been looking for that “light from the candle”? Well, maybe some of the kindest lime team teachers can help you with some ways to stay kind to others.
Ms. Williams, Lime team, ELA, 6th grade
1. Treat others how you want to be treated
2. Kindness is often doing small things for others (smiling at someone, holding the door, including others, etc.)
3. Think before you speak
*Being kind isn’t about being best friends with everyone. It’s about making sure people around you feel included, safe, and respected 🙂
A small act of kindness can go a long way. The next time you are rude and try to act cool for your friends, think how that would make you feel and if you would be upset. Come back next week for more 6th-grade survival kits.
