Are you new to the middle school? Or are you a new student and need advice? If so, I asked two office staff members if they had any advice for new students. First, I asked Ms. Laflin: “Hi, this is Callia Foraker, and I was wondering if you had any advice for new students?”
A:”I would say…..
Be open-minded! Sometimes they are coming from a small school and it can be very overwhelming.
Don’t be afraid to ask for help or guidance.
Be involved and attend as many activities as possible.”
Then I asked Ms.Barajas Q:”Hi this is Callia Foraker and I was wondering if you had any advice for new students?”
A:”Hi Callia. Great question!
I first would encourage them to ask questions if they need help. Secondly, I would also encourage them to get involved and try new things as this is a great way to make new friends. Lastly, stay organized, be respectful and most of all have FUN!”
I hope this advice helps you, and if you ever see Ms.Laflin or Ms.Barajas in the hallway, make sure to say Hi.If you need a little more advice make sure to check out Advice for new people in middle school from teachers, or Advice for new students, for more advice.
