STAY ORGANIZED!!! Staying organized, leads you to my number two thing and that is to NOT GET BEHIND on your work! If you stay organized, your chances are a million times better to not fall behind in your classes. : )

Find ONE good friend. Someone you can trust. Someone you can talk to openly without judgment. Someone who wants you to do better- and be better and encourages you. Having just ONE good friend is one of life’s greatest gifts.
Get involved! Be involved in school in any way you can. If not sports, think about committees. Being involved builds a connection between you and your school. It doesn’t have to be a major commitment like cheer or other sports. It can be as basic as joining the Quiz Bowl. Just find a way to be involved. You’ll meet people you may have never known otherwise, and in return, gain friendships and school spirit! It’s YOUR school. Make it what you want it to be. 🙂
I hope that you learned some cool facts and tips to be a better 6th grader or any student at Emporia Middle School. Come back again next week for more 6th grader survival kits
